I love to sing. Of course, I was that kid who made up songs as soon as a catchy tune got stuck in my head. That’s not the sort of song Jesus Christ gives.
O sing until the LORD a new song; for he had done marvelous things

Singing makes me happy. Even if I’m sad and I choose a melancholy song, I’ll feel better after singing it.
That’s why Jesus gives us a new song when we’re saved.
He promises us abundant joy and there’s nothing that expresses that like a song.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD

Notice he doesn’t say we’ll all sing in key. The mood of the song is more important than the tune.
